Hi-

Am tracking down an interesting problem. I am using a RADAR 24 that is not my own, but with my KC-24 controller. The Stop key on my KC-24 isn't working- it doesn't cause the RADAR to stop when playing.

I plugged the keyboard into a PC, and the physical key works fine (on the PC it is mapped to the right "windows" key so the windows menu pops up). But on the RADAR that key does nothing.

Any ideas?

This is a known bug in the old RADAR software. What version software is currently installed on this RADAR 24?

A workaround is to press the JOG key (where the Num Lock is located on a keyboard) twice. It's not ideal, but it will work like the STOP key.

To permanently fix the problem, have the customer upgrade to 3.4x software by contacting our Sales Department.

This RADAR 24 has version 3.42. Would updating to 3.44 fix this?

I've now reconfirmed that this KC-24's stop key works fine on a different RADAR unit (a RADAR V with 3.44). But doesn't work on the 24 described above. thanks,

You will need to do a BEOS system recovery and then reinstall 3.44

You should use the disc from whatever software version you want to install. 3.42 is quite stable and reliable, but 3.44 has some additional fixes--it shouldn't matter which you use.
