Did you go into the network preferences and enable the RNC control?

The Radar RNC Network Control Enable must be set on the RADAR unit itself. Go into the PREFERENCES menu and select NETWORK PREFS and then down arrow to NETWORK CONTROL and hit enter, then select ENABLE.

Let me know if it works!

Smile just keeping you in suspense. It works very well on the Master Radar but I can't get the software to see the Salve Radar. When I go to the Slave Radar and try and set a new ID for it in Network Control it says "Already a Radar link slave" or something like that.
So I only get the Master come up n the software.but it works. How do I see the Slave Radar?
BTW,I'm launching the program by clicking RADAR24NetControl.class.Only way I could find to do it.

Are you RADARLinking 2 RADAR units and then trying to control them both via RNC? If you are trying to RNC both units they should not be RADARLinked. If you are RADARLinking you should be able to control the Master which inturn controls the slave so that you are controlling a 48 track system via RNC.

Yes my 2 RADAR'S are radarlinked. Is it a limitation of the software or hardware I can't control both if they are linked?Yes,if you play the Master the Radarlink slave follows but on the computer screen you just have 1 representation of 1 RADAR ,so its not really like having both Radar's on your screen at all.
As well the screen shows meters for the Master but not for the Salve if they are Radarlinked.
Seems restrictive and unfinished software to me.Though a good idea.

Trans,

RNC is an evaluation "sample" program that we put out to test the market. It was never designed for RADARLink and it only has very basic features in order to prove the concept and get feedback. So far several RADAR users have tried it and given us feedback as to what features it should have in order to make it a salable product. Comments so far are that if we add a few more basic features such as undo/redo and locate we could sell it for around $149.00. However we have not made any decisions to dedicate any more resources to this project. We will wait a bit longer and get more input.

Oh don't get me wrong, its a great idea but for me,if I was to use it,(which I probably wouldn't need to as I have a remote anyway),I would expect to see both Radars even under Radarlink.

Trans,

We'll keep that in mind when we review the feature set.

Thanks for the feedback and for testing this for us!

Hi iZ support people,

I am trying to use RNC that came with the R 3.42 CD on a RADAR 24 running 3.44.

The program runs fine ..... in Demo mode.
It doesn't see my (only) RADAR though.

I can FTP to the RADAR and I set it to network controllable like described in the manual and in this post earlier.

What could be wrong with my configuration ?

How much would this program be if I want to buy it ?

Thanks
Matts

Did you go into the PREFERENCES menu and select NETWORK PREFS and then down arrow to NETWORK CONTROL and hit enter, then select ENABLE? Still doesn't work?

You can purchase the full RNC for $199 USD. Please contact iZ Sales.

Hi iZSupport,

sure I did go to PREFERENCES, selected NETWORK PREFS and enabled NETWORK CONTROL before asking for help (I also read the manual throughly).

The 'manual' also states that it works best with Windows.
I am using a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.5. - so this is maybe the problem. I will try a Windows machine as well but this is not what I wanted (have to set it up first).

Are there any ports that have to be opened if I am running a firewall ?

How come the product price got up 25% ($149.00 were mentioned in this post before).
Did you make any further developments ?
Will you make additions to this program in the future like i.e. more functions ?

It's really cool to sit somewhere in the recording room being able to remote-control the RADAR that way - I'm totally free to be wherever I want ..... and still have control over the RADAR.

Since you have that cool remote control program for the ADA why not giving us network-aware users a tool like that for our RADARs ?

Thanks
Matts
