I have 2 RADAR V's, A Mac Pro running logic pro through RME Raydats (in and out of RADAR AD DA) and an SSL DUALITY...

So i would like to be able to start and stop Radar from desk and from logic (via MTC i think?)

and then would also like to have everything chase radar after i have finished working in logic.......(i have go this to work with MTC and smpte but without the desk hooked up)

So i guess when we are writing - after initial jamming sessions would like to import radar recorded work into logic and program with midi etc, then once all is sorted - then bounce all to radar and record vocals on radar - needing logic for an additional editing!

so was thinking what is the best way to run this setup????

RADAR/LOGIC/DUALITY all hooked up with MTC via MOTU Midi Express XT
RADAR/LOGIC locked to RADAR clock over adat
RADAR/LOGIC Ethernet so can FTP files to and from mac for editing..

Is this the best plan?

Also - is there a way to set some inputs to adat and some to analogue? Wink

THE RADAR SOUND - WOW - AMAZING - We had a symphony system - good system - but this is definitely a step up! (or a giant leap!!) Wink

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP IN ADVANCE Smile

OK so i have got the logic/duality and radar all working together - my next question is with the FTP setup...

Do i need to hook up ethernet to both RADAR's? or does the RADARLINK cable mean that they act as one - so i only need to ethernet the master?

Cheers

Wink

RADARLink allows you to utilize two RADARs in tandem, so that you may record with 48 tracks.

You will need to FTP from both RADAR machines. They do not share any of the data of which is recorded. So, any of the tracks being recorded on the second, slave, machine have to be exported from that machine in addition to exporting tracks from the primary, master, machine.
