just started working with my new radar and i am having trouble finding any wav or bwav files when i browse through the system...

i've got 4 projects loaded and none of the drives seem to have any "song" folders containing any wav or bwav files at all

the only folder showing up on the bay drives is a system folder and the only folders showing up on the archive drive is the desktop and trash folders.

where is the audio?

pardon my inexperience... maybe i'm missing something coming over from pro tools... ????

any help would be greatly appreciated...

All files used within the RADAR operating system are proprietary and there are no audio files to view. When you create a BACKUP, only project folders and files are created (which reference the audio data that has been recorded). In order to create audio files (BWAV/WAV) from a project, you use the EXPORT function.

There are many ways to get to BWAV audio, and to move projects recorded on RADAR into Pro Tools or any DAW.

First, if you have a recent-era RADAR, make sure your drives are initialized for native BWAV recording ("AUDIO: RADAR_BWAV").

Next, search the pdf manual for "Flattening" (v3.35 and up). I'm a big fan of the MoveDock by CRU-dataport for instant file transfer:

I've written up a pretty detailed guide to the many ways to move audio here (see chapter 4):

And welcome to the RADAR family!!
