ok this might not be the right place for this question, but since it seems the Radar is one of the best digital recording systems around, i figure most of you Radar users are not hackers. in other words, i want opinions from people who seem to know what they're doing.
i'm bouncing tracks from logic pro 7 to dump onto my friend's Radar Adrenaline Plus 24 multitrack, exporting broadcast wave, 24/96 split stereo. do any of you care to commment on whether i should bounce offline or realtime? i've heard it's good to go realtime for midi instrument tracks, but what about the audio tracks, especially the ones with efx? |

I'm using an M-Audio ProFire Lightbridge (lightpipe) interface and doing realtime transfers with efx from ProTools8. The Lightbridge also works with Logic as a standalone interface. It's less the $400 to for 32 ins and outs plus SPDF and stereo analog. If your Radar had a lightpipe card you're in business. This way I can open ProTools sessions in Radar and record that actual fader levels (if I want) with FX (if I want) and not just have to start at unity as I would in a straight .wav import. I love working this way! I get to use the ProTools starting fader balance/fx and Radar's brilliant interface and sonics.Of course I'm using Radar as the master wordclock source (duh). It's all locked up with an old MOTU DTP! Yee-haw!
